Basil Pesto

I know that many people have their own favorite recipe but I will throw mine out here just in case someone needs one.

2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan (you can use Romano as well)

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/3 cup pine nuts, walnuts, or pecans

3 medium sized garlic cloves

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper ( I like to use white pepper but black works as well)
